The 3 models of refrigerated containers
of the COMMISSARIAT DE L’ARMEE DE TERRE

It is after the Gulf War in 1991 that the COMMISSARIAT de l’ARMEE de TERRE decided to define a new range of containers taking into consideration the lessons learnt from the deployment of the DAGUET division

The technical specifications identified a few characteristics common to all the future models of containers that is to say :

Suitability for transportation on Demountable Load Carrying Platforms (DLCP)
Capable of functioning and be used during transportation and on the ground, without being unloaded from the DLCP,
Handling by the most various means, even when loaded
Autonomous functioning thanks to a built-in power generator.

Outdoor temperature: -25°C to +45°C. Lowering of indoor temperatures from +45°C down to -20°C in less than 5 hours.
Indoor temperature : +1/+3°C and -20/-22°C,
Good access to the refrigeration and electrical components for an easy maintenance, even when placed on DLCP.
Simplicity of use and repair (no electronic nor sophistication),
  Maximal sturdiness and reliability

Three models were approved :

20’ Container

5m3 Container

1m3 Container
